Where Language Learning Meets Community

Are you looking for an English course that feels practical, engaging, and relevant to your life? Do you want to improve your skills while meeting interesting people and experiencing a new culture? Whether you’re learning for work, travel, or personal growth, you need an experience where lessons help you communicate naturally, conversations feel effortless, and social experiences are just as valuable as time in the classroom.

That’s exactly what the BELS 50+ Programme offers. This short-term programme combines high-quality English lessons with an immersive cultural experience designed for adults who want to boost their fluency while exploring Malta and Gozo with like-minded people.

In the mornings, you’ll join our General English Standard Course (20 lessons per week) or Intensive Course (30 lessons per week). These mixed-age courses focus on real-life communication, helping you confidently speak, expand your vocabulary, and improve fluency in everyday situations. If you choose the Intensive Course, your afternoons will include additional lessons designed to refine pronunciation, master social interactions, and boost confidence when speaking English. Lessons are interactive and dynamic, ensuring that learning is engaging, practical, and relevant to your daily life.

But this programme is about more than just classroom learning—it’s about practising English in real-life settings, immersing yourself in Maltese culture, and being part of a lively community of adult learners. It’s about sharing new experiences with like-minded people, enjoying great conversations over a meal, and making connections that last beyond your time here. Whether it’s exploring local traditions, celebrating together at cultural events, or simply unwinding with new friends, this is learning that’s as social as it is educational—because improving your English should be just as fun as it is rewarding.

Carnival, Easter & Christmas Programmes in Gozo

Experience the magic of Malta’s most cherished traditions while improving your English in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Our BELS Gozo 50+ Programme brings you closer to the island’s unique culture, where learning extends beyond the classroom and into real-life celebrations. During Carnival, Gozo bursts into colour with lively parades, music, and street performances. At Easter, you’ll witness the island’s deep-rooted traditions, from processions to festive gatherings that bring the community together. And at Christmas, Gozo transforms into a festive wonderland, with glowing village squares, traditional feasts, and a warm, intimate atmosphere. Each event offers the chance to practise English naturally, engage with local culture, and share unforgettable moments with fellow students in a close-knit adult learning community.

Notte Bianca Programme in Malta

Our BELS Malta 50+ Programme in St. Paul’s Bay offers the perfect setting for those who prefer a mix of seaside relaxation and cultural discovery. As part of the programme, you’ll experience Notte Bianca, one of Malta’s most vibrant festivals. Held in the heart of Valletta, this annual event transforms the capital into an open-air celebration of art, music, and history, with museums, galleries, and theatres staying open late into the night. The festival’s energy makes it the perfect backdrop for socialising, exploring, and immersing yourself in Malta’s creative scene, all while practising English in real-world situations. With St. Paul’s Bay as your home base, you’ll enjoy a relaxed coastal environment with easy access to Malta’s cultural and historical sites, creating the ideal balance of learning, connection, and discovery.
