Accommodation for Juniors in Malta
BELS Resident Accommodation
Set in a safe area, our BELS Juniors residence/hotel is located a few minutes away from a rocky beach and within walking distance of the main square of Buġibba. Accommodation is provided in double or triple rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and include an en-suite bathroom with shower, a television with basic reception service, a safety deposit box (at a nominal fee)m Wi-fi and a telephone for incoming calls only. A daily cleaning service with a change of towels and linens is also included. If students would like to wash their clothes, our BELS leaders can accompany them to a launderette across the road from the hotel (at a fee).
When allocating rooms, we ensure that roommates are students of the same gender and a similar age to encourage friendships while on our programme. In addition to this, when possible, we also pair students of different nationalities in the same room to encourage the use of English throughout the day. If two friends are travelling together and wish to share a room, this is also possible.
On our teen camps, students are supervised by our BELS leaders 24/7, some of which also live in the same residence. Students are given a curfew for their safety, and night-checks are conducted by our live-in leaders, who are available to assist the students at any time. Apart from the constant contact with the leaders, students will also be given an emergency contact number.
All BELS students can make use of the hotel’s outdoor pools. BELS Staff will be living at the hotel to provide our students with round the clock customer care support and supervision as they study English in Malta. Accommodation is also on full board.
Living with a host family offers students the opportunity to practise English outside the classroom in a safe, family environment. Apart from studying English in Malta, students staying in a host family experience the Maltese lifestyle, food and traditions. If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, make sure to tell us in advance so we can make the necessary preparations.
Our friendly and welcoming host families are all licensed and handpicked by BELS staff. When screening our host families, we ensure that young learners will be safe and comfortable and that they are treated like a member of the family when they study English in Malta.
Accommodation is in shared rooms, on full board basis. Roommates will be students of the same gender and a similar age to make sure they feel comfortable together and also make friends on their study-trip. Whenever possible we allocate students of different nationalities in the same room to ensure they speak English while together. If students are travelling together, it’s possible for them to share the same room upon request.
Students living in host families located in Mellieħa, Xemxija and St. Paul’s Bay will be brought to school using our transport service to ensure they arrive to school and back home safely and easily.
